Help Sew Mission Quilts

MissionQuilts samSewers

All are welcome to help work on the Lutheran World Relief (LWR) Mission Quilts to be shipped around the world for people in need! These quilts are appreciated and used as baby carriers, food sachels, sunshades, shawls, room dividers, bedding, etc. Come for all or part of the time. Bring a snack and join this wonderful fellowship opportunity! All work will be greatly appreciated!

Other ways to help: The Samaritan Sewers need backing fabric, such as bed sheets, for their quilts. This is an easy way to support this group, please help. You can bring your donations to the church office.

babyJesse

A GoFundMe account has been set up for one of our teachers at Mt Olive Preschool.

Baby Jesse was born on November 6, 2016 with several serious health issues including several holes in his heart. He is recovering from his 2nd open-heart operation that was performed on October 20th . Next year he will require another heart operation. Beatriz Reyes works in our 2-year-old classroom and has been a teacher at Mt Olive for 10 years. Beatriz is married and has two other children. This has been a very difficult time emotionally and financially for the family.

Any donations to help with baby Jesse’s medical costs would be appreciated. You can donate on the GoFundMe site: GoFundMe/BabyJesseFund, or you can write a check to Mt Olive Preschool with Baby Jesse Fund in the memo. Thank you.
